Robert Ellsworth
Biography
A native of Los Angeles, Robert Ellsworth graduated cum laude from UCLA with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Creative Writing. A former journalist, his writings have appeared in Detour, Elle, US Weekly, FHM, Men's Fitness, Travel & Leisure, Bikini, Variety, Vogue, Genre, the Boston Globe and Movieline, and he has appeared on such TV shows as: "Nightline" and "Access Hollywood."
Since graduating from college, Ellsworth has been fortunate to work consistently in feature films and theater. For the past ten years, Mr. Ellsworth has been involved with the media as a freelance writer, staff editor, and producer. He has also sold specs and feature film screenplays to Warner Brothers, Village Roadshow and Disney's Touchstone Studios. A current member of WGA, PEN and SAG, Robert has worked in many facets of the industry: commercial casting, screenwriter, television writer, producer, director and continues to be a working actor. He is executive producer and co-creator of the original comedy series "ON THE BOULEVARD," which was one of the finalists in the FX Comedy Pilot competition.
Robert Ellsworth is an alumnus of the acclaimed SECOND CITY Comedy Theatre in Los Angeles, where he performed in the Main Company. He has also trained with the Improv Olympics, The Groundlings Theater Company, and currently studies with Howard Fines and Scott Sedita. In his spare time, he works as a Drama Therapist with underprivileged youth.
Rob founded and oversaw Creative Children of the Arts, a non-profit group supporting inner city children from 1994-1999, along with producing, writing and starring in: "Trailer Trashers," one of the earliest YouTube hits, with a viewership of over 750,000. He co-executive produced the Randolph Duke reality series, "Duke It Out," and has just optioned a feature film.
Ellsworth currently resides in Los Angeles.
